Frolicking with Giants

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Last week we journeyed to a miniature village in St Georges de Beauce in south eastern quebec, about a 4 hour drive from Montreal, to shoot a video. While we were there we met Ernest, the owner and soul creator of the buildings. He gave a little tour and explained the history behind each building, the materials and time it took to create each one.

Tessa and I modelled a mixture of vintage and orginal Lalouka designs in the video. It was beautifully shot by *safesolvent™, who creates a dreamy and magical atmosphere. The airy and
delicately haunting musical score was created by Tessa’s band, Brave Radar. I feel like all these elements came together perfectly to create a truly unique little film!

We’ve just entered the film into a competition for Talenthouse. There are 3 days of voting and the videos that receive the most votes will go on to be judged by Tavi and Diane Pernet! Please check out the video here and if you like it vote vote vote! Feel free to share this video and repost it!

I may have a little problem

I think I’m addicted to shoe shopping on etsy. I have bought nine pairs on shoes on etsy in the last year. Plus the several pairs I’ve thrifted, oh and my Top Shop clogs. Help. I have shoes coming out of my ears!

…but they’re all so pretty…

I’ve been talking about dying my hair bright orange for several months on my tumblr but now I’ve finally taken the next step and booked an appointment at a salon. These images represent the type of orange i’m going for, really bright and vibrant!

Vintage Sale!

Friday, June 18th, 2010

We opened up our makeshift vintage shop yesterday. Our doors opened around noon and we were constantly busy until we closed around 8pm. There’s a lot to sell but it’s going quickly! I thought I would give you a little teaser of what I’m selling before it’s all gone and there’s no more record of these unique pieces!

We’re open 11am to 7pm everyday until Wednesday, June 23rd. Tonight we’re having an opening party from 7pm to midnight! Come stop by and say hi if you’re in the Montreal area! 5143 St.Laurent Blvd.
